History of SSP
SSP is a society that started in June of 1978 which consisted of about
100 professional and amateur photographers, researchers, teachers, and
photography-related professionals who are related to natural photography,
or scientific photography including the SSP adviser, Mr. Yoshio Takemura,
and the chairman, Mr. Kon Sasaki. Until 1998, the society acted under
the name of "Society of Scientific Photography", but with
the coming of the 20th anniversary, we changed the name to "the
Japanese Society of Scientific Photography".
We are acting for the benefit of natural science and photographic culture
by doing such things as follows.
